John grew up in Birmingham, AL and attended Auburn University. John left Auburn in the summer of 2000 to pursue a career in residential construction. He has been in the construction industry for 13 years and joined Slate Barganier Building as a project manager in 2013. Upon leaving Auburn, John went to work for a local residential construction company as a project manager, where he worked on jobs ranging in value from $10,000 to $900,000. In his four plus years working for the company, John gained a detailed understanding of residential construction. He was involved in all aspects of the business from payroll to hands on building. In 2004, John moved into the commercial construction industry, where he worked as a commercial superintendent before becoming a sales representative for Pella Windows and Doors in 2008. John enjoys spending time with his family, watching baseball and college football, duck hunting, fishing and playing golf. He lives in Vestavia with his wife, Kathleen, his daughter, Peyton, and son, Chandler.
