Basement bath

For this basement remodeling project, we transformed a stuffy old darkroom into a cozy hide-away. Our client's conceptual requirements for this space were "wet" and "textural" so our designs combined glass with brick, wood, and tatami wall tile. For the plumbing, we used highly efficient, exposed copper piping for functional aesthetic value. We designed and built the new ventilation and lighting systems from scratch. To ensure proper air circulation, we added an automatic motion-sensor fan system in addition to the standard switch. To meet egress requirements, we created an innovative access door involving a pullout mirror.

Tags (What's a Tag?)

Tags are key words that are added by a service provider or homeowner when they upload a photo. They may describe anything in the photo the uploader thinks is particularly notable: a feature, a paint color, a material used, anything. We encourage you to add tags wherever something in the image has caught your eye. If you don't see many results under tags yet, you will as the site grows. Keep tagging!
