Faced with an inefficient kitchen design despite room for expansion, the client wanted to create a new, larger open concept kitchen. By removing the old peninsula, ceiling soffit and grid light, space was opened up to install a professional range along the back wall, a new island with prep sink, and tall pantry cabinets. The openness of the new layout was echoed in the clean lines of the maple cabinets and sleek granite countertops. The new cozy, built-in window seat provided additional storage and became the favorite spot at the family dining table.
