Family Room Addition

Screen Porch becomes Family Room The existing screen porch was surrounded by a deck that was divided into areas that were too small to be very useful. We removed the screen porch and pushed the family room off to one side, so the deck would be big enough. The addition has a small covered entry, which creates an “in-between” zone between inside and out. The stairs flare out at the base, to create an informal seating area in the yard. Trim between the south-facing windows echoes the look of the columns on the old screen porch.
