Trip's house located in the Memphis area was truly a gathering place for friends and family, but the back yard was lacking usable space to entertain. A new patio door was selected to replace the existing picture window which had a single hung window on either side. In order to install the new 60" French door with side lights on each side, the old windows were removed as well as the lower portion of the wall. Once the existing patio slab and walkway were removed, a new, larger washed gravel patio slab was poured. The single entry door was also discarded in favor of a new vinyl double hung window. This required the construction of a partial wall to support the window and brick work to make the transition look seamless.
