Nate grew up in Colorado and moved to the South to attend graduate school at the University of South Carolina. After graduate school, he moved to Atlanta and worked for a commercial developer as a construction manager. Nate is passionate about green construction and making homes more energy efficient. Prior to joining Renewal, he conducted numerous home energy audits for a local nonprofit organization that weatherizes homes for low-income families in the Atlanta area. Nate has more than 10 years of experience in the construction industry. His responsibilities have included managing both people and projects. He has extensive experience estimating construction costs and creating budgets for residential and commercial construction projects. Nate's diverse construction management experience facilitates maintaining project schedules and keeping projects within budget. In 1999, Nate earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Arizona State University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina in 2006. He lives in Decatur with his wife and daughter. They enjoy spending time outdoors, including hiking at state parks and nature preserves, and kayaking on the Chattahoochee River.
