Kitchen/bath renovation

This house is a century old cottage. In the early days of construction it was typical for the interior space to be broken up into many smaller rooms to make heating more efficient. This paradigm of programming does not correlate with today's modern lifestyles, resulting in the inception of this project. The scope of the project was to reconfigure the kitchen layout and expand the bathroom. We also made the preliminary move to correct the circulation problems that existed in the living room; the bottom winders of the stairs were reversed so they descended into the kitchen. The railing, stairs, and floors were all reused and refinished. Remaining pieces of floor were milled to make the edge-banding on the countertops and backsplashes. Energy efficient windows bearing a traditional style were installed and the space was insulated to modern specifications. Jim Dowd and Sandra Bonazoli, who own and operate Beehive Kitchenware, are now good friends.

Tags (What's a Tag?)

Tags are key words that are added by a service provider or homeowner when they upload a photo. They may describe anything in the photo the uploader thinks is particularly notable: a feature, a paint color, a material used, anything. We encourage you to add tags wherever something in the image has caught your eye. If you don't see many results under tags yet, you will as the site grows. Keep tagging!
